Thank you to the two parents who have volunteered to drive the new
hospitality trailer. we have one person taking it and one person brining it
home.

Here is some specific information that just arrived about Novice Regatta:

BUSES: All buses are going to unload on the shoulder out on Skyline Blvd.
(the road at our entrance), with the kids walking in on the walking path on
the left alongside the entrance road. THE BUSES WILL NOT ENTER INTO THE LAKE
AREA! Our parents and the police will be there to assist in this effort. The
buses will then be directed to a parking area near the lake and the Harding
Park Golf Course, where the drivers can have a bite to eat in the new cafe,
use the restrooms, play golf, or walk in and watch the races.

CAR PARKING: Parking will be extremely limited at the Lake Merced area, but
other big lots near the lake exist and may be used. Our parents/parking
patrol will direct you. CARS PARKING ON DIRT/GRASSY AREAS WILL BE TICKETED
AND/OR TOWED. Another option is to park near the south end of the lake near
the starting line (lots of parking along the curb) and catch the #18 bus,
which stops right at our park entrance. Cost is $1.50 each way. The buses
run every 15 minutes, and the bus stops are marked by yellow bars painted
with the bus # on the street surface.

FOOD: For hot food, there is a new cafe/restaurant inside the Harding Park
Golf Course, a short, easy walk in from our race site. 

CLOTHING: JL Designs will once again be selling their wares at the NIR. The
PRC regatta sales table will have official "NOVICE REGATTA" t-shirts on
sale, along with other items for your fashionable novice rowers.
