OS.Members -Want to go to Newport as a Spectator?

Dear Oakland Strokes Families,
Thanks to great volunteers, we seem to be set for parent chaperones  
for the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival Nov 3-4th.  It seems like it  
will be a great weekend (albeit a short morning of racing on  
Sunday).  We will be staying at the Fairmont Newport Beach, which is  
most likely the most luxurious accommodations we will enjoy all  
year.  They gave us a phenomenal reduction in their room rates.   
Normally, rooms run $300-450 per night, but we have a special, extra  
special rate of $165. They will offer us ten extra rooms at this rate  
if we want them.  So if any non-chaperoning parents would like to  
come on down (you have to arrange and pay for your own  
transportation), or if any Novice families would like to enjoy a nice  
rowing weekend, let me know. I have to let the Fairmont know by next  
week our total number of rooms.  Come on down and cheer on our  
Varsity rowers.
