Dear Oakland Strokes Parents:
We'd like to invite you to join
other OS parents, coaches and rowers for a Barbeque at the upcoming Southwe=
st Junior
Championships (known as CJ's).

The BBQ will be held Saturday night, May 10, starting around 6:00 pm. Pleas=
e allow rowers and coaches to line up first. We will eat right at the Strok=
es tent/viewing site, like we did last year.
The cost for parents/non-rowers is $20/person. (Dinner is already included =
in the travel fees for your rower). If you would like to join our barbeque,=
kindly send a check made out to OAKLAND STROKES for the appropriate amount=
--$20 x number of dinners you would like. Mail to:

We need to receive your reservation/check by May 8th in order to have a fin=
al count for our caterer.
Our caterer is Texas West BBQ, "the landmark BBQ joint of
Sacramento, Placer and surrounding counties."

Here's the menu:
Seasoned Wood-smoked Chicken, Western Style Smoked Pork Spare Ribs,
BBQ Beans, Country Style Potato Salad, dinner roll & butter. We
can also provide veggie burgers for those who let us know by May
2nd.
The cost of $20.00 per person includes dinner, drinks,
desserts, and the caterer's service fees. There will be a selection of
non-alcoholic drinks and bottled water.=20
We suggest bringing either a blanket or folding chair--something you can ea=
sily carry. Remember it can be a long way from car to tent! There will be a=
few picnic tables available.=20
