Dear Oakland Strokes Families:

The Ergathon highlights the Stokes "fundraising
season."  It occurs next Saturday, January 12 at 10AM at the
boathouse. It is a fun event and families are invited.
Volunteers are needed to help with registering rowers,
passing out bandanas, running food and supervising
this exciting event. Volunteers should arrive at 9:30
to help set up. Come watch some intense erging!=20

Only one week remains before the event. Our goal is to
have received all family donations by then. Many thanks to
the many families who already given.  We have a
suggested minimum donation of $400 for each family
that can afford it and a strong commitment to 100%
participation at some level. All contributions are
appreciated.  Several families have donated over
$10,000, and we also need these larger donations.
Please make your donation by the event to avoid the
need for follow-up calls.

As you give, please consider the long-term value of
rowing to our children, that some boats are in serious
need of replacement, and the great incentives for
donations!   The incentives for successful fund
raising: are: $100 free Strokes gear with $1,000
raised; $400 refund on spring fees with $1,200 raised
and $800 refund on spring fees (100% refund) with
$2,200 raised.=20

Donations (tax deductible to the extent provided by
law) may be made at the Oaklandstrokes.org website via
Paypal, checks may be brought to the Ergathon or
donations may be sent to the Oakland Strokes, 4096
