OS.Members -NEWPORT Regatta coming up: do you want to go?

The Newport Autumn Rowing Festival is coming up Nov 1-2, and ALL  
varsity rowers will be attending. (men and women)
We have booked the beautiful and luxurious Fairmont Newport Beach (our  
best hotel all year) for this race. We are currently seeking parent  
CHAPERONES. For this race, we will be offering chaperones a steeply  
discounted room rate, transportation on the team bus and other perks.  
Chaperones fees will be $75/person for the weekend. We will be seeking  
9 chaperones for this weekend, roughly one per boat of rowers. You may  
or may not be assigned to chaperone your particular rower.  We need  
some chaperones to take the bus with the team, and some to fly down  
and rent a car to purchase race-day food. (these costs are not included)

Update: because of the Nov 1 SAT/SAT II, it may be necessary to  
carpool or drive a van-load of rowers down separate from the bus.  
Please indicate if you would be willing to do this.

We also have some rooms available for SPECTATOR parents (ie you want  
to go and watch, but not chaperone), at the discount rate of $175/ 
room. (regular hotel rate: $400)
First priority will be given to chaperones.
