Attention to the Varsity Athletes who are going to San Diego (and =20
their parents)-
The trip to the San Diego Crew Classic is only days away and so this =20
message is quite urgent. Everyone should know who is going at this =20
point; if you are not sure please contact your coach asap.
=95 PAYMENT for San Diego MUST be made via Blue Sombrero IMMEDIATELY or =20=
you will not be able to fly with the team (which will be problematic =20
for everyone!) RIght now only 33 out of 55 athletes have paid. PLEASE =20=
do this ASAP by going to http://www.bluesombrero.com/oaklandstrokes
Log in, and click on "Register now." Scroll down to "San Diego =20
Regatta" and proceed.
=95 Travel Day: Thursday, April 2nd: ALL athletes should meet their =20
chaperones and coaches at the Oakland Airport SOUTHWEST terminal, at =20
the Southwest ticket desk GROUP TRAVEL counter (far right of the =20
terminal). Everyone should be there at 3:30pm (earlier than on the =20
flyer) to ample allow time to have tickets issued to proper names, to =20=
check baggage, get through security etc. Students should bring =20
picture ID with them.
=95 Athletes should remember to bring SPENDING MONEY for all meals other =
=20
than race day snacks.
=95 There are still a couple of hotel rooms and a few airline tickets =20=
available for non-chaperoning parents who want to attend. If you are =20
interested in either of these, please contact travel coordinator Susan =20=
Ito IMMEDIATELY at oaklandstrokestravel@gmail.com.
